Have you been following our blog for any length of time? If so, you already know about our soft spot for small weddings. We had one ourselves! You also know that one of the silver linings of 2020 was getting to do some of the smaller weddings that we don’t do much anymore. In that way, Alanna & Jeff’s wedding felt like a throwback. In pretty much every other way, it felt like a perfect way to spend a Wednesday.
We LOVE shooting at the Pearl S Buck and these two made the day expressive, hilarious, and full of energy. When we left, Amy mentioned how nice it was that Alanna and Jeff just seemed to know (and love) who they are. They embraced the individuality of themselves and each other. It was really cool to see their intimate ceremony surrounded by family and a few friends. Small weddings seem to drop some of the pretense but keep all the meaning. That’s how this day felt.
