Kellie & J.C.’s Underwater engagement session

Whenever we meet clients, there’s one thing we almost always say: “We’re up for ANYTHING. We’d get bored shooting the same things over and over again. So, when we started scheduling Kellie & J.C.’s session, we thought that doing a shoot IN the water would be pretty awesome… and it was. It’s so cool to...

Travis Williams - OMG… it doesn’t hurt that you had the best looking couple EVER ! what a dream.. and what a shoot. Those underwater housings are great… my dad and I are Scuba Divers – and he was doing a ton of underwater photography in the 90′s with those housings and film camera’s. big up’s to you guys.. you devoured this shoot, then spit it out and devoured it again: Two times Devoured ! NICE

Paul Lender - Glad to see you worked in a Baywatch reference!

Nice shots!

September 2, 2010 - 11:03 am

Rick Koetter - Nice work Hoffers! It’s refreshing to see engagement pics as “abnormal” as these. The 13th image down is my favorite of this set (kissing in the deep). I love the silky water on the lower half of that shot. Lovely.

Katie & Ivins at Longwood Gardens

Yesterday was the first time in a few years that we shot 2 sessions in the same day. We had a blast at both and even got to take a little nap in between! If you missed it, here’s yesterday’s post from with the Young family. Last night we headed back out to shoot for...

Dave Barnum - Leaf + Ring = Art. It’s almost like an oil based painting. Good job.

Did you use your 100 2.8 for that? I have a hard time with Macros on my 5DII I think because there’s no native magnification factor on the body and I can’t get ‘as close’ to the subject as with other cameras.

Kenna - Love the frame ones. great idea!

Liz & Andrew in Elizabethtown

I told Liz on the phone that I love shooting when there’s scattered thunderstorms. For the first 30 minutes of their engagement session, I was looking pretty foolish. We were in the ‘dark red’ portion of the radar map. Then it cleared up and this happened… The sky was pink!

Kate and Bob at the Boardwalk

Bob and Kate have a sweet house down at the Ocean City (NJ) boardwalk that we got to visit on Monday night. They had a good plan too! Some rides, some beach and get back to see the moon rise over the ocean. I thought they were being a little ambitious with the moon thing...

Carole Weintraub - These are incredible, and very imaginative, not at all what I was expecting. YOu have to understand that I grew up at the beach so when I saw the two of you in the life guard stand or on the beach or boardwalk they really resonated with me. VERY brave to put the ring in the boardwalk, unless that was something done in a studio. I loved every one of them. Kudos to your photographer. She/he did an incredible job.

August 1, 2010 - 6:39 pm

Ashley & Erik at Rittenhouse Square

Last night we kicked it with Ashley and Erik who came from out of town for their engagement session in Philly… I’m really pumped with how this session came out. We had fun, we literally gave our blood, sweat and tears** into this one. Hopefully by the next time I blog, we’ll have a brand...

Seville - Great, great shots. Through your lens it reveals a young woman with a special laugh and it appears a guy who has played his cards just right.

The city is obviously romantic and you hope, or maybe you know, that they’ll never lose this feeling.

July 24, 2010 - 9:26 pm

Rikki D. Dy-Liacco - Love the shots specially the reflection shot by the curb. Great job guys!

July 23, 2010 - 7:02 pm

Ashley & Erik - We both had such a good time (despite the initial nerves!!) and are so pleased with all of the pictures we saw so far!!! Thank you so much!!!

July 23, 2010 - 4:05 pm

Lee Florida - These are so great! Makes me regret we didn’t do an engagement session!!

July 23, 2010 - 2:40 pm

Piero Campilii - An amazing session! Those with the rim light are out of this world, especially the 6th from top to bottom! Those with the bike and that one from down the stairs (subway?) are my favorites but they all are part of an excellent work!

July 23, 2010 - 1:40 pm

Jill Dougherty - These are AWESOME!! Love the ones with City Hall in the background!

July 23, 2010 - 11:46 am

Rebecca Haile - You know during some engagement shoots the couple seem more concerned with how they look than each other? Ashley & Erik just aren’t like that. They look so in love, especially Ashley’s smile, such a give away!
My favourite is the puddle photo. It’s very sweet.

July 23, 2010 - 11:07 am

Doug - Great job of matching the rim flash to sunlight – really consistent and well done. Great shoot.

July 23, 2010 - 10:14 am

Kim South - Once again a group of outstanding photos. You seem to be able to actually feel how much love these young people have for each other through the photos.
Good luck to them and thanks for sharing.
