Welp, we did it guys. We made it to 2021. Congrats on surviving a total clusterbomb of a year. Like many of you, our industry was no stranger to the drastic effects of the pandemic. Now that we’re on the other side of 2020 (and hopefully seeing light at the end of the COVID tunnel), we can see how wild of a year it truly was.
Maybe more importantly, we can also see how blessed we were by all of you in 2020. Whether it was pivoting our business or making a million schedule changes, we tried like crazy to adapt ourselves. Our goal was always to try to be fair and thoughtful to our clients and to put our heads down (and our masks on) and make this thing work… regardless of how strange it sometimes was.
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance that we owe you a massive THANK YOU. We survived (and even grew a little) thanks to all of you that support us with your words, your likes and your dollars. We’ve always owed everything we do to those of you that support us, but it was never more evident than it was this year. At the times when we were most nervous, an email would pop up with a new job or idea. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being the largest part of what we do and for coming through when we needed you most. As always, we hope that our work shines a light on the beauty of your life.
Here’s a look at a favorite photo from (almost) everything we shot this year… including some families, some of Tony’s Commercial work and Amy’s Boudoir work… all of which helped keep us going through a crazy year!
January
The year started off with a bang. Big weddings and baby bumps.

FEBRUARY
A wild destination wedding and a winter celebration. February is usually our lightest month of the year for weddings, but our Commercial work has really been growing!

MARCH
Apparently we only shot on beaches in March. On our trip to the Caymans (our first ever Snowbird Sessions), COVID became real. We just snuck that trip in. When we got back, the whole world was different. We started working on some new projects including our Hoffshop Mobile Phone Workshop.

APRIL
Commence freakout. April was full-on quarantine and we pulled out all the stops for workshops and Pro Presets. We even shot a bit of studio stuff while we were stuck at home.

Restrictions in PA eased up in June and we were able to get back to work. Summer also turned us into something we hadn’t been for a LONG time… Family photographers.

JULY
As people started to get a hold of this new life, we started finding ways to get our clicks in. Micro-weddings, road trips and family sessions were the theme. We even gave away a few shoots to our much-deserved essential workers.

NOVEMBER
We managed to shoot in a few different states in November. We didn’t see much besides the hotel rooms, but it was a little taste of normalcy!
