Last week was the beginning of the amazingness that is spring (or summer) weather. We start getting super busy and this blog is about to get quite full. It was also the last two family shoots that we have booked. The first was the Ngo family, who we shot in their home and at a nearby park. These guys were great and their home had some really wonderful style. Plus, they had a cinema room which was fantastic. We snuck in for a bit. Here's a few favorites...

Friday was special.

You see there's something weird about photography where it's kind of tough to shoot at the same place twice, especially right in a row. So we really wanted to push ourselves for Kara & Ken since we had shot at Vie the week before. It turns out it didn't take much from us. The wedding was beautiful. The people were beautiful and it was just so easy to have a good time. We really loved the outdoor ceremony space at Vie and it was great shooting our first outdoor wedding of the year. The weather is looking wonderful and we're really exciting to be getting into prime time wedding season. Enjoy!

True blog-stalkers might remember a story from a few years ago about a couple who overcame some dramatic circumstances to get pregnant. Well a little over 2 years later, Anna and Luke are reappearing on our blog with their little girl Brin. We went to their beautiful hometown of Mt. Gretna this week to shoot for them and followed little Brin around during some of her favorite activities.

We're turning a corner. It's a good thing. We're giving Jenny & Arthur all the credit for it. It feels like there have been exactly 2 not-completely-miserably-cold days in the past 5 months or so. We were with Jenny & Arthur for both of them. The first was their engagement session and the second was the absolutely gorgeous day that we had on Saturday in the city. We even had some of the bridesmaids in the 'splash zone' of the Logan Square fountain. Granted, that part was still pretty cold. Thanks to Jenny & Arthur for being amazing people with great friends. We've know the Lees for a while now. We met them a few years back through the Genesis workshop, stayed in touch on an almost weekly basis and are happy to call them friends. We even introduced them (to their first real cheesesteak). Last week after our HoffShop, we got to shoot for them. We roamed around, made a few slight trespasses and they ended up in a suit and wedding dress. Here's what it looked like through our perspective, some hard plastic and a bunch of layers of glass...

Oh, and thanks to Keith and Ali for giving us some extra time to try the above photo. We've been wanting to try the movie poster look for a while but usually have trouble finding the time. If any other clients want to try some fun stuff with it, let us know!
