SCROLL DOWN

If you were at this wedding, you would see it was obvious I love Jen’s family. They’re some of the most warm, weird and wonderful people I’ve ever met. And they love their weird animals, so extra bonus. I got an opportunity to photograph the family a few years ago. Then I shot Jen’s sister’s wedding at Thompson Island in Boston. On Saturday I had the privilege to finally meet some of Arash’s extended family, and photograph Jen and Arash’s family officially uniting.

I met Jen, Arash, and the kids at that first family session several years ago. It was also the first time Arash and his daughters got to meet Jen’s family. Arash seemed to fit right in, being such a warm, fun-loving, and thoughtful human. They included him and the girls in the photos like they were already some of their own.

Back to Saturday. We started at their house, headed to Manayunk for a Catholic ceremony, and then drove off to beautiful Parque at Ridley Creek State Park for the reception. The kids were included and even the dogs got to come along for most of the day! It was so great seeing everyone and capturing the day. I was able to cry and laugh along with everyone else witnessing their families coming together. I was filled with gratitude for being a part of it, and cherished capturing all the little moments for these special people.
