Years and years ago, we shot a wedding during a hurricane. It was a challenging day, although quite memorable. The weather kept a number of guests away, there were last minute schedule changes, and it sadly got cut short. Plus we came home to a foot of water in our house. One thing we learned through that experience was that there’s two silver linings in a situation like that:
1. A couple that takes that in stride shows a lot of strength and maturity.
2. When things go sideways, weddings are even more memorable.
Luckily, Jess and Morgan didn’t have that same experience. The hurricane that hit the south was just a hard rain for their wedding in Northern Jersey. However, it was enough to move things inside and knock out the power for most of the day. There’s a lot of couples that would get really thrown off by much smaller things.
Meanwhile, Jess and Morgan hardly said a word. In fact, they did the best thing possible and never even broke stride. It was a blast! So even though the lights and microphones were a bit of an adventure, you would never know it with these two. We had gorgeous locations inside Skylands Manor and there were all smiles all day long. It was a wonderful day and showed us a lot about these two. Mainly, that they’re fantastic together and won’t let rain dampen anything. At least not anything in their control. Check it out…
