We’ve done a lot of weddings, but I don’t think we can think of a single one that was quite like this. On Saturday we woke up expecting to see a few flurries. We did. And then we saw more and more and more. Suddenly there was a few inches of snow on the ground. We trekked out to Lancaster and started wandering around Riverdale Manor to look for some good options to shoot. Then we noticed something: We weren’t cold. Not at all. Somehow a snowstorm had been followed with sunshine and zero wind… along with the warmest 35 degree day that we can remember.
When Batia and Ethan arrived, I think we were all a little bit shocked that we had such a beautiful day (in more ways than one). Well, that trend continued throughout most of the night. After the ceremony and some speeches, we had a brief moment to chat with Ethan’s dad. We told him the same thing I’ll say here. We’ve been doing this for a little while now. So when we hear vows so heartfelt, creative and sweet, it’s truly wonderful. When they’re followed up with a series of speeches that are just as powerful, it really give you a sense of the love and care these two have for each other… and that everybody else has for them. It was really, really beautiful. Onto the photos…
