Elisabeth & Erick

February 15th has always been a special day for Amy and I as it’s the day of our first date! I don’t think we’ve ever shot a wedding on February 15th (we’ll get our fact checkers on that). If we were going to make an exception, there’s no two better people to share a special date with than Eli and Erick. These two are the sweetest. And if you don’t believe us, believe the 200ish people that came from all over the world to celebrate them. Looking around the room on Saturday, we saw one of the most culturally and geographically diverse groups of people we’ve ever witnessed. It was pretty special. Not only do Eli & Erick leave an impression on the people they meet, but they truly care about them.

We were threatened with snow and rain and it did come. So much so that the city view was hidden when the ceremony started. But as it went on and the emotions grew, the fog cleared in time for an epic view to celebrate these two… Here’s a few images from a very wonderful winter day.

Getting Ready at Hyatt House in Jersey City

Wedding Portraits and Ceremony at Liberty House in Jersey City

We shot at the Liberty House last summer (on a drastically different type of day). We love this spot. Eli & Erick had a vision of doing their first look with their pup and it was the cutest. The snowfall only added to the beauty. Then we headed back inside for a very heartfelt (and bilingual) ceremony that was filled with tears, smiles and worship.

Wedding Reception at Liberty House

Day changed to night and I don’t think there was ever a moment with less than 50 people on the dance floor. People came from all over the world to have a good time. Expectations were met. What a night!
