Lindsey & Mike

It was only a few hours into the day on Friday when we turned to Lindsey and told her how lovely it was to be with them. This wedding was a breath of fresh air in the heart of busy season. All weddings have their stresses: timing, personalities or other little things that pop up throughout the day. This one just… didn’t. From pretty much the second we arrived, it was nothing but a joy to shoot for Lindsey and Mike. They were so easy, so fun and it was truly a perfect day from top to bottom. Shoutout to the Michigan crew of Juniper & Lace and Montage Media for also being so easy and fun to work with!

Getting Ready at Hotel Monaco + Knowlton Mansion

The Hotel Monaco is always lovely (and has great light). Lindsey and Mike both got ready at the hotel then headed out to Knowlton, where Lindsey did her finishing touches and put on her dress. The rooms at Knowlton are so beautiful and historic. We’re so thankful when people trust us to use the space and be there for intimate moments!

Portraits at Knowlton Mansion

Man, what a gorgeous time to be outside at Knowlton. We hit the perfect combo of mild weather, bright sun and fall leaves! We just love getting to shoot easy-going, candid portraits in good light. There’s nothing better.

Wedding Ceremony at Knowlton Mansion

The ceremony space under the pergola looked so beautiful! The aisle was covered in white petals (and the flower girls added some red). It looked light a straight up movie set in the garden!

Reception at Knowlton Mansion

Just as the sun was setting we headed indoors. Aside from some great speeches and really heartfelt moments throughout the reception, there was also a tribute to Mike’s dad in the (very cool) wine cellar. Enjoy!
