Malvika & Alex

Amidst a week or so of April rain, we kept looking at the 10-day forecast thinking that Malvika and Alex’s wedding was looking a lot like summer. Not only did the rain hold, but so did the temps. It was outright balmy for April, which made for perfect conditions for an outdoor ceremony within the budding flowers of Ridley Creek State Park.

Malvika and Alex were so kind and we loved all their style choices! It was hard to stop taking photos of the beautiful henna work and the whole day just felt easy and super fun! Enjoy…

Getting Ready at Parque Ridley Creek

The bridal suite at Parque is so lovely (and has wonderful light). Malvika got ready on site with her girls and family. An old mansion with big, expansive windows is pretty tough to beat!

Wedding Portraits at Ridley Creek State Park

Malvika and Alex did a first look and we wandered around some of the nearby areas of the park with the two of them before being joined by their friends and families. We had some very light cloud cover which made for some nice and even light in every direction. Yay!

Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Parque

As we mentioned before, the outdoor ceremony was perfect. The flowers were blooming and the florals they added blended in perfectly. Parque has this beautiful spot in the middle of old stone walls beside the mansion that makes for such a perfectly intimate space. Afterwards the cocktail hour and reception was just a few steps away. The ballroom leans into the old, quaint charm of the building. It’s cool when spaces have their own character instead of trying to look like everything else. We love it here!
