There’s a reason that Charleston is basically the wedding capitol of the East Coast… especially this time of year! Upon our arrival in South Carolina, we were greeted by absolutely perfect weather and a group of people that was even better! Katie and Sean have been all over the country lately, but they met in Charleston, just steps away from where they would eventually get married. They were so fun from the second we arrived and it made the vibe of the day so joyful and celebratory! We had a blast all day and couldn’t be more thankful for how welcoming and lovely they (and all their families/friends) were to us!
Getting Ready in Charleston AirBnbs
We started the day at some gorgeous AirBnb’s that had the modern/southern aesthetic that Charleston is known for. It was pretty much all smiles in both houses… although maybe a few more tears mixed in where the ladies were.
Wedding Portraits at White Point Garden
Katie and Sean chose to do their first look down by the water under a gorgeous canopy of live oak trees in White Point Garden. I’m sure there are other pretty spots around the city, but it’s hard to imagine anything much prettier than this! We shot their portraits as well as some bridal party and family photos here. We were even able to witness another proposal while we were down there. Oh and in case you were worried that we were getting tired, a car full of Red Bull showed up at just the right time to kick it up a notch.
Wedding Ceremony + Reception at Cannon Green
We finally arrived at Cannon Green, which is this beautifully modern space in the heart of Charleston. Katie and Sean said their vows under a beautiful flower display in the courtyard and then we got to the only thing everybody wanted to do. Party… and it was a good one! The band was absolutely on point and the floor was packed from the first minute to the last. Wow. What a night!
