Jess & Kevin’s Downingtown Wedding

We could get used to this. Sunday completed a pretty amazing weekend for a number of reasons. Obviously, the weather was great and the people were great, but we got to shoot a wedding about 4 minutes from our house, watch Cole Hamels do a first dance, then watch him throw a shutout in Cincinnati like an hour later. That guy is incredible!

Jess and Kevin got married at the Downingtown Country Club, had their engagement photos at the Art Museum, and will forever be remembered for the bridal party dance party during cocktail hour that could be heard from space.

You have some great shots here. How sweet is the one of her father tearing up as he gives her hand in marriage. You can feel the love, the joy, the pride is in heart with that photo, as he gives his little girl away. You can tell that he respects the groom though, which is amazing. It is a happy day as well as a nostaligic one.

Dena & Mark in MOUNT JOY!!

It's return-to-your-roots-day here on the blog. This weekend, we were in my home town, Mount Joy, PA to shoot for Dena and Mark. It felt a little weird to be honest. The reception was at a place I grew up going to (The Gathering Place), and where I acquired my unhealthy crush on hamloaf. Yes, that's right... there's something called hamloaf. And it's good.

Lots of fantastic people at this wedding. Also, Mark's brother Patrick needs to teach a class on best man's speeches. He's 16 and probably gave the best speech we've heard this year. Lesson to all the best men out there: Don't drink too much, Be a little funny, and be genuine and kind. Good job Patrick!

Rachel and Pat at Brandywine Manor House

Saturday's wedding was awesome. It was hard to equal the fun we had Friday, but we did. First of all, I'm convinced that Rachel hired her bridesmaids. Second, I think Amy might have a crush on Pat. Not really, but he's a super-nice guy. Lastly, and most importantly...

I was given the nickname Tom Brady. Apparently, some of the groomsmen thought I looked like him. Now this is either A) The best compliment I've ever received or B) A huge insult. I'll let you decide. Onto the photos!...

This was too funny not to show... sorry Rachel :)

Every time we shoot a wedding, I try to write a few quick thoughts in this space. Typically that's something unique, original or extreme that would make a good talking point. Well Rachel and Nate's wedding included about a million of those things. We saw more of the following than we have at any other wedding: Karate, Athleticism, Cadillac Power Wheels, Poses involved Washington Crossing the Delaware (not pictured), Photography Chat, Displayed Engagement Photos, Blog-Stalkers... Summary: It was a fun day...

Meredith and Matt’s wedding | Merion Tribute House

Oh yeah... another day, another wonderful outdoor wedding. It couldn't have been more beautiful on Sunday for Meredith & Matt's wedding. Back to back weddings usually wear us out to the point of pure exhaustion, but in all honesty, it was pretty hard to complain about anything last weekend. We've been meeting so many great people and had so many great days lately!

Meredith & Matt got married at the Merion Tribute House. It was quite a different look from the last time we were there. We were blessed with some beautiful light for the ceremony. Meredith and Matt are truly kind people too. Very easy to work with and really thoughtful towards us. Thanks guys... and congratulations! We're extremely jealous of where you are right now :)

I'm pretty sure Meredith just hired a bunch of good-looking bridesmaids...

Great pics! It’s amazing how different it looks from our wedding. With the exception of the one in the wee balcony. Which is one of my favorites from both weddings! Jessica & Matt’s Boyertown Wedding

Among the many things I love in life, doing portraits before the wedding is one of them. It takes so much stress away from the day and let's people really enjoy and spend time with their guests. We were so lucky to get to shoot with Jessica, Matt and they're incredibly fun (and inappropriate) bridal party for a while before their ceremony.

They had a nice backyard reception and a family home, so we just tried to shoot simple and clean in keeping with their day. Oh and we got to hang out with some of our favorite people, Nikki and Matt afterwards! Woohoo!

Friday, we returned to the place of one of our favorite weddings, Lauxmont Farms in Wrightsville to shoot for Steph and Dave. These two both served the country, then served it up on the dance floor (thanks, I'll be here all week)... You probably remember these faces as we shot for them just a couple of weeks ago down in D.C.
