The more weddings I shoot the more I come to appreciate and look forward to atypical days. To me atypical means unique, individual, sincere – and that’s how I’d describe Andrew, Susan and their entire story.
These two were legally married back in October ’17 and wanted to spend last Saturday formally celebrating with an intimate group of friends and family. There was no bridal party, but there two “best humans” that helped throughout the day. We didn’t go to a church, their vows were said in the beautiful John F. Collins Park. We didn’t venture off to a reception hall, instead everyone met up at Monsu and had some of the absolute best food I’ve had in Philly (seriously, try to eat the grilled cheese without freaking out about how good it is).
It was a great, unique day. I got to spend a lot of quality time with Andrew and Susan walking all around center city: from a pop up garden, through a jazz festival, to Rittenhouse Square, and back to City Hall. Featured below are some of my favorite images. I hope you guys have as much fun reliving these moments as you did enjoying them the first time, and I hope they make you smile for years and years to come.
