Last weekend I hung out with Gina and Pat and some of their closest friends and family in Charleston, SC. I would describe their wedding day with one word: meaningful. And if I was to pick a second word it would be hotter-than-the-surface-of-the-sun. I don’t think I’ve ever sweated as much as I did that Sunday under the South Carolina sun.
I remember Gina telling me that she was going to have her late mother’s scarf incorporated into her hair. I knew from there that we were in for a really meaningful wedding. Saturdays spent shooting for fun people are always great, but spending the day surrounded only by their closest people in Gina’s father’s backyard was unreal. I felt honored to be the one to document their day for them….
