I haven't done a day-after blog post in a while, but this holiday thing has thrown my schedule out of whack. Amy and I are both sick and achy, and we feel like we haven't been home in months. Ok, enough complaining, on to the good things... Yesterday was our last wedding of a very busy, wonderful and overwhelming year. I think that it was the first time all year when I actually said "Wow, this is literally the best weather we could've asked for." After so many days of rain, snow, wind, storms, and more, it was nice to actually be pleasantly surprised with my work environment. :)
Ok, so I teased on Facebook yesterday that this was the first wedding I've shot where I had lived with both the bride and the groom on separate occasions. True story. Jay and I go way back and Kara had been shacking up with us for the last few months while she was in nursing school. So, we had talked out this whole wedding thing pretty thoroughly by the time the day came. In case you missed it in April, check out their engagement pics. We're really happy for you guys. Jay, you've come a long way since the loser freshman who used to like UNC and wear baby blue all the time. Ok, maybe not... I think you just got lucky. Kara, You've come a long way since two weeks ago when you were in our spare bedroom. Congrats! Enjoy everybody...

This is almost my favorite shot of the day.... almost...

My favorite. If this is the last shot you see from my 2009 weddings, I feel pretty good about it...

Thanks again to everyone who checks this and helps make this blog fun and full. I'll have some year end wrap up stuff soon I hope :)
I think the bride is one of those people who also looks just as beautiful in sweatpants. Happy Marriage!
Abby and Tom these are wonderful and beautiful pictures of this blessed day.
WOW! Just incredible photos. Love them ALL, and got a real chuckle out of the beautiful dresses with snowboots! The outdoor snow photos are great, too. I was thinking about all of you last weekend, hoping everything was going well. Apparently, it did! Joy and blessings to Abby and Tom, and your families.
These are more beautiful than i could have imagined!!! Thank you so much for the memories.
