Late last week we made the trek out to Stockton College in New Jersey. We always tell people to find somewhere meaningful to shoot their engagement photos. Jenn and Dan wanted to go to the college where they met. We even started out at the apartments where they lived (one above the other). Pretty cool story, pretty cool people, pretty great weather...

Remember Lindsay & Stu? You should. They've been on the front of our portfolio for a while now. We couldn't wait to shoot their wedding. We love them for a number of reasons. We love them because they're awesome. We love them because they made us lobster. And we love them because they had a Friday wedding and gave us the rest of the weekend off!

It's been a pretty wild winter for us. Our dreams came true by having very little snow and very warm temperatures. We've gotten some down time and gotten to go to some great places. But is was this wedding that we looked to as our one true 'winter' wedding... in the middle of February. It didn't disappoint.

Abby and Tom are ice people anyway. You may remember us shooting with them in the ice rink during the summer. So we were all glad to see some snow and get to experience the real look of winter while we had the chance. Of course, these guys are lucky and flew south to thaw out afterwards, but it was worth getting cold for a day I think...

Rounding out our absolutely gorgeous weekend last week were Laura and Steve. It's great just being around them because it's really obvious that they adore each other... and that they're really a lot of fun. We spent most the day close to home (which was awesome) and then went up to Bear Creek Resort for the reception. We hadn't been there in a while and we had forgotten just how gorgeous that place is. For a winter wedding, it was really cool to see people hanging out outside, watching the skiers, and shacked up for the weekend. All of it made for a great vibe and a really fun night. Thanks Laura and Steve for having us! We were honored to shoot for you guys!

This weekend we shot for Jess & Geoff. You may remember them as the couple that had two engagement sessions (one, two). We may or may not have forgotten our lights for the first one so we had double the fun. And oh man, we couldn't have had a better wedding to shoot coming off our workshop.

One of our absolute favorite things is when couples do weddings the way THEY want to do it. There are so many traditions and opinions that many people forget that they're allowed to have a wedding however they want. For Jess and Geoff that meant going low key, casual, and having everything feel very authentic to them. They requested no forced family photos, but instead chose to have the family playing with the kids by the playground. They had the bridal party hang out in their natural element (you can guess) rather than taking posed bridal party photos. We just loved that they did it their own way. Thanks guys for a great day! The fact that we're teaching our workshop in Memphis this week won't stop this blog from rolling along! Last weekend we were honored to shoot for the first time at the Cranbury Inn. Beautiful place!

We were able to reconnect with Mandy and Ed (true blog stalkers will remember this session shot by the Woffers) and we had another gorgeous day. This whole daylight savings time thing is a little strange to get used to, but lucky for us we love shooting at night! Here's a few of our favorites from the day... Don't forget to leave a comment!

It's no wonder that fall is the busiest time of the year when you get days like this... it's a pretty easy job sometimes. Lauren and Derek were born and raised here in D-Town (short commute, woohoo!), so we shot around our lovely town and at the elementary school where they met. Awesome day. Enjoy...
