Earlier this week we found ourselves in what is quickly becoming one of our favorite places, Washington DC. We spent the afternoon with Concetta and Ryan who are getting married down this way next year. We got to see their lovely home and a bunch of Ryan's handiwork. And we strolled around their neighborhood for a while before ending up at the capitol. It was a great day to shoot, here's a few that we liked...

It's no wonder that fall is the busiest time of the year when you get days like this... it's a pretty easy job sometimes. Lauren and Derek were born and raised here in D-Town (short commute, woohoo!), so we shot around our lovely town and at the elementary school where they met. Awesome day. Enjoy...

We love shooting engagement sessions because of the places we get to go, the stories we get to hear and the personal experiences that are attached with the places we go. Joanna and Bill took us down to their summer getaway in Dewey Beach, DE... and we heard some good stories. They mostly revolved around The Starboard (where we started the session) and involved where they first met, how their photos ended up on the wall and (of course) how many times they've been kicked out. Most importantly, it's a meaningful spot to them. Here's a few favorites...

A few months back we had the pleasure of working for VFCC and got to meet Steve and Amy. Fast forward a few months and Steve proposes at the Space Needle is Seattle. A strong move. Fast forward a few more and we're wandering around Lancaster with Steve and Amy... great people and a joy to be around! Can't wait to see you guys again at VFCC in a few weeks. Last week's engagement session marathon ended with Abby and Tom (although it continues tonight). These guys are hockey players and wanted to shoot in an ice rink. Then we went south to West Chester to shoot in the woods a little bit.

This second part of this session was pretty unique. We set out to go to one place, but ended up somewhere completely different. Why? Because I (Tony) got stuck in the mud. Literally. I stepped in about 8 inches of mud. My shoes got stuck, a light broke and so we just decided to stay right where we were and shoot there. Worked out pretty well!

A little while ago we celebrated Amy's birthday. We walked around Philly for a little while, taking some time to enjoy the places by ourselves rather than working. But even on her birthday Amy's mind kept wandering to what kind of shots we could get at particular places. Turns out it wasn't long before we got out to shoot for Kait & Josh at some of them. These guys are getting married this summer. Great people and we had lots of fun catching up at some of their old stomping grounds. Check it out!

A few times a year, I (Tony) get the opportunity to teach some small 1-on-1 sessions for other photographers. On Friday Jeremy came in and spent the day here in good ole Downingtown.
