Kara & Kenny in Olde City

Earlier this week we met up with Kara and Kenny in Olde City. We hung out at a bar, took a walk around Olde City and then met up with their dogs by the Art Museum. It was a pretty complete tour of Philly. We loved shooting for them. In the next year Kara will be a bride and a maid of honor of ours… So you’ll see plenty of her.

Theresa & Ray in NYC

I don’t like to brag, but we probably deserve an award: 14 blog posts in 15 days (well, weekdays). You’re welcome earth!

Earlier this week we made the trek up to NYC to shoot for Ray and Theresa. Ray works for a great company that has several avenues to raise money for HIV/Aids patients and we got to shoot for a while in their bookstore. Then we took the short cab ride to the Brooklyn Bridge and watched Theresa tough it out with her heels on a huge bridge. We had great weather and great light. When all was said and done, we had some great burgers too. Enjoy!…

Courtney & Phil | top secret engagement session

Wow, so much to say about this shoot… and so much that I won’t. First of all, we’re NOT telling where we shot these. Partly because we want to keep it to ourselves and partly because we’re pretty sure we shot them all illegally. Let’s just say that Courtney and Phil picked an awesome place to shoot last week. If you’re a true blog-stalker, then you may recognize Courtney from a couple years back. We shot her sister’s wedding and she’s in one of my (Tony’s) favorite emotional photos that I’ve ever taken at a wedding. We can’t wait to shoot for these guys again this summer…

Mel & Tim in Old City

One of our favorite things to do when we shoot is wander. We like finding a place and going in without a plan. Mel and Tim wanted to head down to Old City with only a very rough outline of what their shoot would look like, which was quite perfect for us. It took us about 20 seconds for us to realize that this shoot would be a piece of cake. Mel has a beautiful smile, Tim has an infectious laugh. Sometimes it’s a pretty easy job. Lauren & Phil at Mount Vernon

On Tuesday we headed down to Virginia to shoot for Lauren & Phil, who are getting married later this year. I dare you to look through these and not smile. I don’t think we’ve ever shot for two people as goofy or as good at making each other laugh. I guess inappropriate jokes about George Washington will do that… and there were plenty of them. When we meet with our clients, we almost always tell them that we want them to choose where to have their engagement session. It’s much more fun for everyone that way. We like doing new and different things and we really like when things are personal for the people we’re shooting for… which is why we’ve been excited to shoot for Lauren and Matt for a really long time. When we first met (well over a year ago) they mentioned that their plan was to buy a house and wanted to shoot in the house while it was still empty. Such a cool idea. And it turned out to be a ton of fun, mostly because we didn’t really have to go outside in the cold at all! Here’s a few of our favorites…

Meg & Andrew at Tyler State Park

It was quite a beautiful week. We were excited to see the bright blue skies, wear shorts, play golf, and all the things we love. We love warm weather and everything it brings, just like most people… except Meg. She LOVES winter. It’s pretty weird. So we’re happy for her and Andrew. The next few months will see their wedding, a great vacation and many other cold-related things (us freezing for one). So here’s Meg and Andrew on a nice warm day… Wedding photos will follow very soon and will be much colder, lucky for Meg.

Carolyn & Chris | Engagement at Winterthur

Last week we dodged the rain (by about 2 minutes) and shot at the beautiful Winterthur Museum and Gardens in Delaware. Carolyn and Chris are getting married there next year and it’s an awfully beautiful spot in the fall. Not to mention how easy it was shooting for them. Carolyn and Chris have to try to manage getting through life while being both incredibly smart and incredibly nice… It must be tough :)

Laura & Marc at the Aquarium

It’s the last post from a crazy week! We haven’t gone 5 for 5 in quite a long time (kind of like the Phillies)..

This week we were in Hibernia Park with Ashley and Justin. We loved shooting this session (that seems to be a theme lately). There’s not much to complain about when you have great light and really fun people to be around. These guys are getting married next year, which seems like a long time for us to go without hanging out with them. I guess that’s a good thing…
