There's a lot of nervous moments when you start your own business. There's times when you're uncertain, overworked or just plain scared to make a change. But I can say that I've probably never been as intimidated about shooting a wedding as I was this Sunday (this is Tony talking by the way). You see, back before I was working as a photographer, I was working as a graphic designer for a magazine. It was while working there that I bought my first camera, learned how to shoot, and shot our first wedding. Meanwhile, my job often intertwined with the staff photographers that we had working for us... and they were incredible. I learned so much from spending so much time looking through (and working on) their images. John is one of those incredible photographers. After spending so many years admiring his work, you can imagine how honored we were that he and Marisa asked us to shoot their wedding. But you can probably also imagine how nerve-wracking it is to shoot in front of a crowd full of photographers who knew me back when I used a trusty old Rebel XT.
Lucky for us, John and Marisa are two of the coolest (and most laid back) people imaginable. They got lucky with the weather, and we got lucky to be able to shoot them. We absolutely loved this wedding...

Excellent wedding photos! I love the shot of the sunset with the camera and the shallow depth of field with the groomsmen in the foreground and the lake and fisherman in the background. Nice!
