After a wonderful Thanksgiving (and a surprisingly small amount of overindulgence), Amy and I headed out to Pittsburgh on Friday for our first ever wedding in the ‘Burgh. We’ve actually been to Pittsburgh a few times in the last year or so, but hadn’t really experienced much. So, here’s my lightning review: I really like nearly everything about that city, well except the weather. Oakland and Shadyshide are awesome, as are Quaker Steak and Lube (Arizona wings) and Pamela’s Diner… Yummy crepe pancakes. The PITT campus is fantastically old and beautiful, and it’s the only city I’ve been to that’s even more obsessed with their football team than Philadelphia. To Eagles fans, I know that sounds weird, but it’s really not even close.
So, since the Steelers lost last night, I’m hoping this post has the joy to enlighten an entire city today!!!… High hopes. Anyway, Katie & Matt (engagement session) were guests at the 3rd wedding we ever shot. It’s weird to think that someone could remember a stranger for that long, but thanks to the joys of easy conversation and Facebook, they got back in touch with me a while ago to bring me out for their wedding. So glad to be there and to have seen so many people from when we were just starting out. Lots of reminiscing on our part. Anyway, Katie and Matt, we love you guys. If you ever decide to renew your vows, we’ll be there in a heartbeat. Enjoy…
