Publish Me!

Ok, so I have to admit that the selfish part of me has always wanted to be published... Well... Rangfinder magazine (one of the biggest deals in the photo industry) is giving that chance to a few photographers. To nominate me, just go to Rangefinder's nomination page. It's REALLY easy to do and I'd really appreciate it!

  1. done!

  2. Tony, I don’t know if your request is selfish, narcissistic, or something else, but I’ve nominated you because I think you do deserve to be published. I always find your work inspiring and am convinced that other photographers will enjoy and benefit from seeing your creative vision. Best of luck to you!

  3. Done deal!! Best of luck! You really deserve it!

  4. Emil

    Done! =)

  5. You bugger!!!! remember me when you’re famous.

  6. Vanessa

Glad to have the opportunity to give my 2 cents… And this is what I wrote… Tony photographed my friends’ wedding this past April and ever since I first saw the photos that he took, and how he was able to capture their love for each other, I have literally been checking his blog and website daily. He is incredible at capturing candid moments that personify emotion. He is not “just a photographer”; he’s an artist, truly capturing the tiny details that make up life and love.

  7. Calli

done-zo! praying that you receive the honor you deserve and that god gets the glory:)

  8. Jill

Did it, ditto, Dido has great music.

  9. Consider yourself nominated yet again.

Cathy + Charles | Engagement

On Tuesday, I was in Chesapeake City, MD with Cathy and Charles for some engagement shots. These guys are getting married next spring and were a great time to hang out with. Cathy works at a hospital in Delaware that I think I'm slowly beginning to take over. I might have to set up a Christiana satelitte studio before too long!

I'm really happy with how the shots turns out, despite the overwhelming gray-ness that was Tuesday night, we had a few tricks up our sleeves. Big thanks to my buddy Jason for coming out and helping me and grabbing some great shots as well. Enjoy!...

Probably my favorite shot...

Top and bottom right shots are Jason's here...

This is our 'mean lineman' shot. Charles' is actually pretty good. Cathy, don't quit your day job :)

  1. another outstanding set – the bar remains high – it’s hard to top yourself but you continue to do it with such consistancy it’s madning.

Love the in the water ones where her feet have come out of the water and you’ve got the water frozen in time. just classic and the football ones are fun and interesting.

I like them alot bud !

Tony, the shot with the church in the background is one of your best – stunning! Same for the ring in the pod. You’re creativity always amazes me!

  3. Charles

Tony, Awsome job man! They turned out great. Way to bring some color to an otherwise bland day as far as the weather was concerned. Thanks for posting some so quickly too, Cathy and I were both pretty anxious to see how they looked.

  4. The mean lineman photo made me laugh. I like how you are always able to get your clients to feel at home enough in front of the lens so they can be themselves.

Amber + Kevin | Wedding

Welcome back!... Although it's only been a few days, it's long enough for me to have some blogging withdraw. We had a great labor day weekend (hope you all did too), highlighted by Amber + Kevin's wedding on Sunday. We were at the gorgeous Merion Tribute House in Merion Station, PA.

Amber + Kevin had an afternoon, picnic style wedding, complete with cotton candy, popcorn, picnic lunches, homemade blankets and more. I've been excited for this wedding for a while. I stole some cotton candy at the end too :)... Oh, and I don't think I've ever taken more photos of shoes. Some funky stuff. So, here's some of my favorites from the day... Check em out and don't forget to comment if you like them. (Clients like hearing how good they look!)

I’m in heaven…SO MANY SHOE PHOTOS! I love it! And what an expressive bride! I love all her facial expressions in all the photos! My favorite shot isn’t of shoes at all though..the shot of the bride and groom on the balcony with the “X” on the cieling as the focus is Bad A..!!! Awesome work Tony!

  2. Sarah

So I think the photo of Kevin smashing his best man with cake needs some explanation – the bride and groom smashed cake in the best man and maid of honor’s faces instead of in each others!

I love Mason with that cupcake. :o)

  3. Sarah

I can’t wait to see the rest!

  4. Nicole

I love the shot in the church with the focus on the church more so than the bride and groom. Every time I see your newest post, I get more and more excited for my wedding(too bad I have a while yet!)

  5. Such a cool wedding! The bubbles were cool, who doesn’t like cotton candy? Loved the blankets and that shot of them in the balcony? Gorgeous! Oh and I LOVE the sparkly Converse sneakers the bride was wearing.

  6. Litty

I just happened to come across your blog, and I love these shots. I especially love the one where the guys are praying over the groom. Love the shoes!

  7. Love the wedding.I especially love the centerpieces, cake and the cute little kid having the cake.

  8. Faithecenroad@gmail.com

Fun shots……love them! Where is that beautiful engagement ring from! LOVE IT!!!

  9. Love these! And seriously…how cute is that little (I’m assuming flower girl) with the little red chucks on?! Adorable. Great location. What a fun wedding. Awesome!

  10. I love these! Congrats Kev & Amber, I still need you to email me your address so your present can arrive. lol! Tony you do AMAZING work! I love love love these pics!

  11. Chris

Like Sarah, I’m looking forward to seeing the rest. I especially like the one of my dad sitting and watching everyone. Tony, you really know how to capture the day. If the boys were a band, you’d have some great cover photos – lol. Thanks for a marvelous job Tony!

  12. Bethie

Everything looks like it turned out perfect. It makes me miss you guys even more than normal. Beautiful people, beautiful day, beautiful wedding. :) I can just hear Amber laughing in some of these pics…

  13. Lois Martin

Sarah + Brian | Engagement

Sarah + Brian are getting married this November. On Monday night we went out to Ridley Creek State Park and shot some engagement photos which were very painful for them.... not emotionally, just physically painful. They were sore the next day. It was their choice to roll down the hill, though, so it definitely wasn't my fault! Anyway, these guys will be married in Puerto Rico VERY soon! Unfortunately, I won't be there, but Sarah + Brian, if you want me to be, I'm just a phone call away :) Enjoy....

Closeness? Check. Creepiness? Check. Awesome? Check...

I LOVE this series of images. In fact, this shot's already in my Portfolio...

…And the Grand Total is…

Wow, wow, wow. I really can't believe how great this past month has been with the print sale benefitting the Kenya Children Project. When I decided to do it, I told Adam, that I was hoping to be able to donate around $1000 by the end of the month, but that realistically it would be closer to a few hundred. I really can't believe how generous you all were in purchasing prints [even if you just wanted the discount :)] and contributing towards the project... Thank you SO, SO much!

Above you see around 36,000 blocks... each of which represents a meal that you have helped provide for the children in the project who, without their new school, would be struggling to find daily food. And while all of the money probably won't go towards food (much of it will go towards teacher salaries and the purchase of a new building for the school), it's the most incredible way to think about it in my mind. Another way of thinking about it is that this donation will support the ENTIRE school's food needs for 125 children for nearly 7 months. Incredible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you SO much for your support and generosity!!
