Heidi + Matt | Wedding

On Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting the last wedding for one of my favorite families. I shot Heidi's sister Andrea's wedding last year and was at her brother Rob's wedding a few years ago. Now, mom and pop are officially empty-nesters... Heidi + Matt's wedding was tons of fun. It's great knowing so many people and having a crew that's fun, loose and doesn't complain when they're outside in tuxes.

Also, I should use this space to thank Matt (and several others from the wedding) who returned from Iraq recently for their service. We're so glad you're home... thank you! Lastly, thanks to Alan for shooting with me. Some of his shots are sprinkled throughout.

The wedding was in South Jersey and the reception was at the Savoy Inn, which is a great venue... Enjoy...

Rochelle + Nick | Engagement

On Thursday night I went to (place that I'm not allowed to name or I might get fined) with Rochelle + Nick. We went to some of my favorite places at (unnamed engagement location) and even shot where Amy and I took some of the first pictures of us together. I'm excited for their wedding next year. Really nice folks, and I was able to get some funky stuff I think. Enjoy...

I stole this idea from Sergio who shot with me the other week...

This pose/location combo is "borrowed" as well. If you're reading this, thanks Gabe for the inspiration...

Kaddie | Senior

Wednesday night I was in Manheim, PA for some senior photos of Kaddie. Her sister is a dear friend of mine, so it was great to do some more work for their family. Here's some of my favorites from the session. Thanks to Rachel for coming along, holding some lights and helping out.... Enjoy...

EDIT: OH YEAH, as Rachel pointed out... I forgot to mention that I got electrocuted!! I didn't show the picture here for a good reason.. It stinks. Shooting after electrocution threw me off a little bit...

Kaddie wanted a few shots with her horse...

Shannon & Mike | Wedding

Before I start this post, two important personal things:
1. Happy Anniversary to my wife Amy. She's managed to put up with me for 2 years already... and she's the reason my pictures are good... for real.
2. Happy Birthday to my mom, who is even more of a reason my pictures are good I guess, since she's the reason I exist at all. Love you both!

So... Sunday we FINALLY had a break from the rain in Pennsylvania... woohoo! Amy and I headed out to Hanover, PA for Shannon and Mike's wedding. Thanks to my friend Lindsey for hooking us up with this these guys! It was a great wedding for us... a really sweet and fun group of people.

The ceremony in particular was fantastic. Lot's of laughs, a few tears and some really good music. Once or twice I caught myself with my camera down just listening to the music. We had some nice dramatic skies (as you see above) and a really energetic crowd. Good times had by all... Enjoy...

The door of their first house...

Don't ask...

Alicia + Bill | Wedding

Whew, quite a crazy weekend! A wedding 2 hours in one direction and another the following day 2 hours in the other direction. I always feel like I got hit by a truck after weekends like that. Luckily, the job is fun :)

Ok, so on Saturday morning, I called Alicia to get some info and she let me know that they had to change their venue the day of the wedding! WOW! I guess that's what happens when it rains for a straight month up here. It was quite a crazy day for Alicia and Bill. They had 3 months worths of planning to do in about 4 hours. They even booked a last-minute venue, site unseen!

Honestly, I couldn't believe how calm they were when we showed up. I kept repeating it to them, but the fact that everything turned out so well in the end is a testament to the kind of people Alicia + Bill are. Not many people would have handled the day with the class and fun attitude that the two of them did. They reminded everyone that the important thing was the marriage and that their happiness was going to be found in that. Bill wrote something for Alicia that was read aloud during the ceremony... it was one of the best things I've heard during a wedding, and it reminded me as a photographer that while plans and venues are good, they ultimately are way less important than two happy people. Congrats, you two!

Heavy Metal

Since I had a shoot postponed due to rain yesterday (again... ugh), I thought I share a new sample album I got from Ryan & Lindsay's wedding back in May. I got this to show off some upgrades that I offer with Flush Mount albums. I call this one the Heavy Metal option. It has a metallic printed photo cover that's wrapped in a leather of your choice. The interior pages are also on metallic prints. Not metal or anything, but a really shiny, 3-D looking print. Looks great in person!

Both the metallic photo cover and metallic interior pages can be ordered/upgraded separately or together...

Christine + Joe | Engagement

On Monday night I was back in Kennett Square, where I've been spending a lot of time lately, for Christine + Joe's engagement. Going into a shoot is always interesting for me as I never quite know what to expect from people who have never "posed" for photos together before. People like Christine + Joe make my job easy though. A chimp could've taken good photos of them, they're just easy-going and in love... and that combination hardly ever fails. Here's some of my favorites from one of my favorite sessions of the year so far...

We started off at Vala Vineyard... trespassing of course.

...then we trespassed somewhere else...

This is what we trespassed through. Thanks to Christine for being a trooper in heels...

Then off to Kennett Square High, where C+J would've started dating, if Christine wasn't too cool for Joe back then...

The Songs | Family

Before I left for the Great White North on Thursday, I made my way down to Delaware for a family session. Part of the fun of my job is the opportunity to meet people who I may have connections or things in common with, so it was fun talking with Jee and Jenny about their lives a bit and getting to know them. Their daughter Lilly was a piece of cake... hard to take a bad picture of her. She'll be celebrating her birthday in a few weeks, so we made some magic so they'll have something to remember year 1. Here's a few of my favorites, enjoy...

This one makes me laugh every time I look at it...
