In March, I shot a wedding for Candice & Aubrey in Oakland, CA with two of the best photographers you'll ever find, Ed Pingol and Sam Hassas. This was Sam's wedding, but he was again so generous in letting both Ed and I have a huge part in it.
Before I get to the images, I want to say a few things about each of those guys... primarily that they are the complete realization of my theory that the nicest people make the best photographers. Ed is a wealth of knowledge and is perhaps the most creative thinker I know. He knows how to deal with people, and makes breathtaking images. It was such a pleasure shooting with Ed, and I'll think we'll be doing it again soon.
Aside from being a fantastic photographer, I owe Sam (and his wife Monica) a HUGE HUGE thank you for letting me crash (virtually unannounced) at their house for like 5 days. It's really a shame that we're 3000 miles apart because we've become good friends and it's such a pleasure to hang out, shoot, and get to know the Hassas's. I can't say enough good things about Sam & Monica. Thanks guys!
Enough of the gushing, onto the images...

Thanks to the guys for climbing onto the roof..

We split up the portraits and I got the Bride & Groom :)...

Literally no editing on this, crazy cool lighting...

From the balcony...

My favorite shot of the day...

Sam, Ed and I. Awesome guys, great wedding, good times.

The last three standing in the high windows – awesome! Great color. Trash = photo prop…love it.
Well done Tony, the last one is my fav of the bunch too.
I like the red chair… especially with the ring. Nicely done.
Absolutely top notch. Definately loving the “goofy” comp with the split right down the center as my favorite, because it really brings a sense of fun into the whole set and kind of helps set the mood for the rest of it.
Great work, Tony… one word I’d pick to describe – “fun” – definitely portrayed them as a fun couple, and communicated that through fun, crazy, sometimes daring pics. Keep it up!
(and congrats on 425 fb fans!!)
