I just returned from 2nd shooting a sweet wedding. I’ll be showing pics soon…. In the mean time, here’s a few shots I took on the way home. I’ve spent the past few days watching March Madness with my buddy Rachel… so here’s some pics of her having a good time.

Ok, so you may remember that in October and November, I held a contest where people could write in interesting ideas and win a free 2-hour session with me. Well I shot my first session last night with Andrea & Ryan, a couple who got married about 9 months ago and wanted some shots post-wedding....

can i ask what some of your favorite gear is that you currently use? mostly, i’m interested in what body you have and your most-used lenses for wedding photography. i just found your site yesterday and have been pouring through your archives since (in case you couldn’t tell from the series of comments). your shots are amazing and i’m definitely going to tell future clients of my own about you. i have a wedding quartet/trio…though more and more, i wish i could shoot the weddings instead of play for them!
While I can’t use that gear, I’d like to say that the updates to your site are great and the work you’ve been posting is just fantastic! Keep it up!
We’re in the airport about to head back from our vacation/work trip over the past week. We had our photos taken on Wednesday, then yesterday we spent the day around Pier 39 in San Fran. We tried to hit Alcatraz, but apparently we’re not famous enough to bypass the 2 week waiting list… haha.

When we started planning this vacation in California, everyone told us that we had to take a trip up and down the coast. Man, were they right. It was just one breathtaking view after another… Probably the best non-wedding shot I’ve taken…

So, after looking at these pictures, I think you’ve reminded me of one of the reasons why I don’t take as many vacations as I’d like — it’d be too hard to put down the camera! Great shots – looks like you had a blast.
