In Front of the Lens…

So, for something completely different… It’s pictures of US!

While we were out in California, Amy and I had a portrait session done by my good friend Sam Hassas. I’ve already said a million good things about Sam on this blog, so go read those. As much as we hate to admit it, our wedding photos stink. Our biggest regret from our wedding is not finding a fantastic photographer. As much as that annoys us, we thought the next best thing was to do a session now, to try to make up for it.

What I really took away from the experience was what it feels like to be a client. From being self-conscience (I have a giant Adam’s apple) to nervous, it really opened my eyes to the way my clients might feel before a shoot. I really think that being in front of the camera has made me a better photographer, more aware of details and more in touch with what my clients are thinking… So, here are some of our favorites of Sam’s pics of us… the rest can be found on his blog.
