Ian & Roberta | Wedding

For the last two weeks, Ian & Roberta had been checking the weather almost hourly… just to make sure it didn’t rain on their wedding day. Well it did. So for the second straight week, we had some rainy day decisions to make. I think we made the right ones…

We met Ian & Roberta over 4 years ago now, when I started working as a graphic designer out of school. Since then, we’ve gotten to know them well, and they were so excited about us shooting their wedding (always the easiest way to assure great pictures). Many of us thought this day would never come, but Ian finally pulled the trigger a while ago, and I’ve been looking forward to their wedding since then.

As you can see from my previous blog post, we all got pretty soaked throughout the day, but it didn’t seem to dampen anyone’s spirits a bit. However, it did dampen our clothes, socks and lenses for the rest of the night. Oh well! I’m so happy with how the photos turned out, and we’re so grateful that we could take part in our friend’s wedding. Congratulations Ian & Roberta!!

This is what happens when you shoot a wedding for two graphic designers… cool stuff.

According to some, I’m becoming infamous for my headless portraits. This is an all-time favorite.

We don’t usually show many family portraits, but I just love the casual-ness of this one.

Reactions from a very funny toast… Roberta’s sister gave Ian some tough love.

Their bark was bigger than their bite.

Anonymous - You two did such an incredible job.

I love the pictures of Ian and Roberta under the umbrella – the photographs are framed beautifully.

What a talent!
